LightBuckets President/CEO to Speak at AIC 2008
September 02, 2008

LightBuckets President/CEO, Steve Cullen, has been selected to be one of the honored speakers at the 2008 Advanced Imaging Conference in San Jose, California which runs from November 14-16. Going on its fifth year, the AIC draws hundreds of the world's premier astro-photographers to one place to discuss the tools, techniques, and best practices for award-winning images. The event features workshops, presentations, and exhibits. Steve will be speaking about the future of remote imaging and online astronomy as an emerging industry.

The presentation will discuss the reasons for creating a global online telescope network; who is using online astronomy today and who will be using it in the future; some of the tools and technologies needed to get online; the challenges and advantages in using remote instruments via the web; and what the future holds for online astronomy. Weather permitting, there will be a real time demonstration of LightBuckets and the LightBuckets Telescope Network.

If you haven't signed up for the 2008 Advanced Imaging Conference, you should do so soon. Seats are limited and all of the previous years have been a sell out. Go to http://www.aicccd.com for more information.
