LightBuckets, Gates, and IVL Team Up on Weather Control
April 01, 2010

LightBuckets announced today that they have teamed up with Bill Gates and the ex-Microsofties at Intellectual Ventures Lab (http://intellectualventureslab.com/) on a mission to control the weather. The partnership will be formally known as "MCS" which is short for "Mission Clear Skies".

Also announced today is an astounding breakthrough in weather and sky quality control by this newly-formed consortium. In an unprecedented display of climate control, MCS has positioned 25 barges in the Pacific Ocean off the Baja Peninsula and an additional 10 barges in the Gulf of California on the eastern seaboard of Baja. The Orion-class barges are equipped with MSC-patented hydroquadric pumps that are able to move massive amounts of seawater from the ocean floor to the surface. This serves as a cooling agent for the relatively warm layer of water which resides in the top ten meters of the surface that fuels not only strong storms streaming in to southwestern New Mexico but also wreaks havoc with seeing conditions.

Said Steve Cullen, President of LightBuckets and MCS Board Member, "Even with the MCS technology operational for limited tests, we have clearly demonstrated the ability to thoroughly obliterate storm fronts as they prepare to come on shore from the Pacific and gather strength as they cross the Gulf of California."

Cullen continued, "Somewhat unexpectedly, we also saw a dramatic shift in the local sky quality due to the laminar flow aloft created by more temperate ocean waters. The measured seeing at our Rodeo, NM headquarters dropped from approximately 2.2 arcseconds FWHM to under 0.45 arcseconds FWHM, rivaling or beating the best mountaintop locations on the planet."

The MCS system will continue integration testing over the next 15-24 months. Eventually, it is expected that the hydroquadric pumping systems can be repurposed to move air instead of liquid. With a solar-powered LFD (Long Flight Duration) aircraft fleet, also under development by MCS, coupled with the new aeroquadric pumps, the ability to redirect weather on a regional and even continental scale will finally be within reach of humankind.

Given the highly secretive nature of this project, MCS will not comment on activities, planned tests, and future developments. For further information and media inquiries, however, please contact April Fool at http://www.haha.com.
