I am happy to announce that effective today we are rolling out a new pricing program called ImageNow.

Here's how it works...

Sometimes we have open telescope capacity that we would prefer to sell at a discounted rate rather than let the observatories sit idle (this is less true for the week before and after new Moon...but you never know). We decided to create a special pricing program that we can turn on at a moment's notice to let our customers know that we have telescope time available at discounted rates, we call it ImageNow. You never know just how good the rates might be but they will certainly be at a good discount from our every day great prices.

How do you find out when ImageNow Pricing is in effect?

There are two ways to find out about ImageNow Pricing. First, you can opt-in to our email alerts which will tell us to send you an email message whenever we have an ImageNow Pricing event happening. The advantage of our email alerts is that you will be on the "early warning system" and you'll know as soon as we do that ImageNow Pricing is coming up. We generally will only announce an ImageNow Pricing event within hours, or sometimes minutes, of it being available. The ImageNow Pricing window might last for an hour or it may last all night. There is a screen shot here showing where in your Account Profile to click to set up your alerts.

The second way to find out about ImageNow Pricing is by watching the observatory panels on the LightBuckets home page. When ImageNow Pricing is in effect you will see the special price in green below the every day price. You will also see a green bar on the schedule time line when you go to select your scheduling option - this will let you know that ImageNow Pricing is available for that time window. How does ImageNow Pricing work?

To take advantage of the ImageNow Pricing discounts, all you need to do is set up a Schedule for Later imaging run that takes place within the start and end times of the ImageNow Pricing window (the imaging run must start and finish some time within the window to be eligible for the ImageNow Pricing). When you finalize your imaging run on the calendar and time line, you will be shown a message that your run will take place at the discounted rate. See this screen capture for details. ImageNow Pricing will only be available to imaging runs scheduled after the particular ImageNow Pricing event has been announced.

That's all there is to it. Be sure to go to your Account page by clicking the "My Account" menu item, click on the "e-mail alerts" option in the "Your Profile" box, click the checkbox next to "LightBuckets ImageNow Pricing", and click the "Save settings" button. This way you'll know about ImageNow Pricing via email the second we decide on an event.
