We've had some questions about pricing so I thought I'd write up a message. Joining LightBuckets is absolutely free - you don't have to purchase anything up front. As many visitors to LightBuckets have already found out, we are not just about renting telescopes online. Sure, we'd love it if everyone who visits would try out our online telescopes and come back to use them again and again. But, it is equally important that our members and customers feel a part of the rapidly growing LightBuckets community as well.

It's true...LightBuckets has large, expensive, research-grade telescopes designed to tease faint wisps of light out of the depths of space. Astrophotographers and researchers use our telescopes to squeeze every photon out of the ether. What many LightBuckets visitors don't realize is that they can produce stunning color astro images for under $20 with our telescopes as well.
This image of Messier 16 is just one example of what you can produce with LightBuckets Easy Imaging. It was captured using Easy Imaging set at Level 1 and it has had only slight brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpening post processing. Level 1 is the least expensive way to image on LightBuckets at a cost of just 20 points...that's $20.00 or less depending on how many points you purchase at a time.
